The designer needs to define the problem and solve it, while the host needs to guide players to solve problems. Acting as the super glue between participants, they must observe human nature in order to help participants work as a team even if they are strangers. Communication design requires knowledge of consumer needs in order to create effective solutions, and good design should not be a mystery. Surprisingly, the two are related.
