Resistenza
Giuseppe Salerno, a trained calligrapher who studied graphic design in Torino, Italy, and Paco Gonzalez, a self-taught Spanish-born artist from Valencia, make up the type foundry Resistenza. Their graphic design, which is primarily done by hand, has a bold, humanistic quality that emphasizes a link with the locations and users of a specific good or service. Resistenza frequently puts together collections of their typefaces to function as a set or family, developing an identity that can be used throughout an entire piece. The two work well together when working on a project for a specific customer, producing a collection of brush scripts and calligraphic typefaces in addition to original illustrations, sketches, icons, and more.
