AE.Studio

Founded in 2016, AE is a software development, data science, and design agency that has bootstrapped its way to having 150+ individuals work to increase human agency through technology. In order to allow for a longtermist perspective for clients and employees, the agency has remained without any venture capital, private equity, or any other form of outside shareholders. A portion of profits from their consulting business is channeled into skunkworks - internal agency-increasing projects, that could be kept or sold - like EletricSMS! Profits from these ventures are put towards the development of a brain computer interface (BCI) operating system that increases human agency, which is the agency's big hairy audacious goal.
